Website and e-commerce platform for Black[Foundry] a company specialising in custom typeface design and font engineering. There are two main parts to the website : the fonts (retail fonts) and the work (custom fonts). Another important element is the lab section – a place for the company to showcase their tools and share design experiments.
I was charged with creating a simple and comprehensive structure for this website and providing good instructions for the development team. Creating a seamless experience for users who want to test and buy fonts appeared to be a real challenge. Together with Jeremie Hornus we took a fair amount of time to build interactive elements and make sure they work across browsers. Prototypes were designed in Adobe XD and Webflow.
